About the Artist

Tony Eastman is a Bristol based artist. A great deal of his drawings and sculpture consists of collections he has made, these include chairs, ladders, books, landscapes and spoons (in mixed media).

Tony also collects tigers, most of the pieces have been collected in the markets of Mexico, Thailand and Guatemala, other tigers which include toys, masks, sculpture and graphics have come from Japan, India, Peru and Cambodia. The majority of the tigers are made of wood which has been carved and painted. Several small tiger heads from Mexico have whiskers and teeth others are made of painted and modelled coconut shells, paper, brass, bronze, tinplate, glass, stone and plastic have also been used to make tiger sculptures.
